General Data Protection Regulation

Schoolcomms have been working hard to ensure compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and we continue to improve our systems, processes and procedures to meet the requirements of Data Protection Law and the needs of our customers, suppliers and Data Subjects.

Please see below for information and resources relevant to Data Protection:

Data Processing Agreements

Due to the large number of customers working with Schoolcomms, it is impractical to review and establish the many individual Data Processing/Privacy Agreements (DPA's) presented by our clients. Schoolcomms have published our own approved DPA, compliant with the GDPR, which has been integrated into our terms and conditions which would have been agreed to when you set up the service.

There is no action required by you.

You can find the latest version of the terms and conditions via the following link https://schoolcomms.com/terms-and-conditions/

Privacy Notices

In order to comply with the GDPR we have also published a Privacy Notice for Data Subjects, which details the data elements that may be processed, what the data is used for, and how long the data is kept for. This can be accessed via the following link https://schoolcomms.com/privacy-policy/

Security Questionnaire

Many of our clients have provided detailed questionnaires to help gauge security controls and compliance; Again, it is not a practical exercise to respond to these on an individual basis. Schoolcomms have therefore completed our own comprehensive Security RFI Questionnaire which provides responses to all relevant questions that we have been able to identify. Please refer to the attached PDF.

Training and Awareness

All Schoolcomms employees have had training specific to the GDPR and Data Protection to make sure they understand their obligations to Data Protection and the confidentiality of Personal Information.

We have a number of Certified EU General Data Protection Regulation Practitioners (EU GDPR P) and Foundation levels (EU GDPR F), and all employees have undertaken a combination of eLearning courses and face-to-face workshops.
