Release 168 Overview

Adding People to Meal Patterns Change Message

Changes have been made to the event type page when a School Manager selects
to Edit a pattern via the new Patterns module. Originally, when updates were made to the pattern on the event type page (e.g. the days were changed), the changes were saved as soon as the user clicked the Add people to pattern button. To ensure a School Manager is aware their changes will be saved, the Add people to pattern button has been changed to Save changes & continue to add people.

Defined Meal Pattern Groups

School Managers can now select an existing Group (or Groups), and successfully assign the Group to a pattern. A school may have created a number of Custom Groups within their school site on the Manager
application and a School Manager will potentially want to assign a Custom Group to a pattern. Alternatively, they may want to assign a Year Group or a Registration Group to the pattern. When a School Manager is creating a pattern via the new Pattern module any existing Groups (Reg,
Year, Custom etc.) will be available for them to select.

Manager Change E-Mails

A School Manager with an Overall account status is now able to amend an email address by selecting the Edit email address button on the View user details page, accessed via People > Pupils and staff > select pupil > select Payer contact. If a Manager account has any status other than Overall, the Edit email address button will be visible but will not be accessible. The Edit email address option will provide a School Manager with the ability to amend an email address if a Parent or Carer asks them to.

Change E-Mail Deactivation

The Edit email address button on the View user details page (accessed via People > Pupils and staff
> select pupil > select Payer contact) will be activated, or de-activated, depending on the Parent or
Carer’s account activation status.
The Edit email address button will only be enabled for the following users:
➢ For non-activated users (where the user has entered the activation codes and clicked the link to
activate their account, but has not verified their email yet) – a School Manager is able to change
the username. When the user clicks the link in the email sent after the email change, this will
activate the account.
➢ For activated users – a School Manager is able to change the user’s username (email address).
The Edit email address button will be disabled for the following users:
➢ For non-activated users (where the activation code is still visible on the Manager application) –
the School Manager is not able to change the user codes or change the email. This is because
there is no email address associated with the user.
➢ For non-activated users (where a School Manager has created additional accounts) – a School
Manager is not able to change the username (email address) in this instance. The username
(email address) is changed by the user during activation.
