How to clear the cache on your browser

On occasion, when using websites in the browser you regularly use (Chrome / Internet explorer / FireFox), you may experience issues e.g. accessing Cypad due to the cache the browsers store as you navigate and enter data into websites.

What is cache?

If you regularly enter the same information into a site, the browser will remember and store the data and will attempt to suggest the data entered previously, which is not always required.

How do I clear the cache?

You can clear the cache on most browsers by holding down CONTROL + F5 on your key board at the same time.

In Chrome

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More .
  3. Click More tools  Clear browsing data.
  4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
  5. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
  6. Click Clear data.

In other browsers

If you use Safari, Firefox, or another browser, please check their individual support site for instructions.
