Members showing in incorrect class groups

This issue typically occurs in the new academic year and results in students remaining in their old class groups in Schoolcomms. This has been found in the past to be a SIMS issue with the group memberships and can be resolved by running Validate Memberships in SIMS.

  • To update the members we recommend that in SIMS you navigate to Tools > Validate Memberships in SIMS and complete the routine ( Please check with your SIMS Support before running the Validate Memberships routine to ensure there are no implications of doing so).
  • Once complete, launch Schoolcomms and run an import - you should find that the group memberships in Schoolcomms will then be correct.
