MIS Sync fails with a Crash Reporter message

You may receive a crash reporter message similar to the following when starting MIS Sync.

This indicates that the config files have become corrupted or unusable by the application and a fresh install is required. To resolve this you will need to fully remove and then re-install the MIS Sync application.

To uninstall the MIS Sync application

WARNING

You will need to have administrative permissions on the SIMS installation to be able to carry out these instructions.  Please speak with your IT support provider where appropriate to complete the following actions.

  1. Navigate to the ParentPay folder, typically C:\Program Files\ParentPay
  2. Run UNINS000.exe
  3. Once un-installed go to C:\Users\<username of user having the issue>\AppData\Local\ParentPay\MISSync
  4. Delete the Config and Password files.

You will now need to reinstall MIS Sync as a new installation.
