Using Monitor on a Tablet

Starting the Monitor App

After signing into the Tablet press the Monitor icon [1] to open the list of available sites.

Press the Site [2] you wish to open and select one of the following options:

  • Actions
  • Details
  • Monitor

Actions

Actions can be raised via desktop and tablet and they can be viewed in tablet by Actions option, on the Desktop press the Site [1] and press the Actions option [2].

In the Actions screen you can see the questions and the Action [3] that were raised.

NOTE: This is a read only screen, no changes can be made via the Tablet.

Details

Details are broken down into several tabs which include:

Site

mceclip2.png The Site information is a copy of the basic site information available in Monitor > Sites > open Site window > Site tab.

NOTE: This information cannot be edited via the Tablet.

Contact 1/2/3

mceclip3.png The Contact tabs contain the details from Contact tabs 1, 2 and 3 available in Monitor > Sites > open Site window

NOTE: This information cannot be edited via the Tablet.

Catering

mceclip4.png The Catering tab contains the details from the Roll Numbers tab and Kitchen tab available in Monitor > Sites > open Site window

NOTE: You can edit notes

Note

mceclip5.png The Note tab is a copy of the Notes made in Monitor > Sites > open Site window > Site tab.

NOTE: This information cannot be edited via the Tablet.

Questions

The Questions tab contains Site specific questions that are created by users in System > Admin > Types > Site Questions.

 

The questions can be answered by pressing each of the cells in the Right column [1].

Getting Started

Select the Package [1] that will be needed for the inspection/review.

Press the Site [2] and the Monitor option [3] to open the packaged questionnaire.

In the Monitor questionnaire screen [4], you can answer each question by pressing the empty Answer cell [5] to the right of each question. After you have answered a question you can change the answer by pressing the Answer cell.

NOTE: In each of the question cells you can see the Question weighting [6] in the bottom right.

Text Question Type

When you press on the empty Answer Cell an answer box will open with the Question [1] at the top and the On-screen keyboard [2] at the bottom of the screen.

NOTE  When using a text type question there is a 20-character limit in the Answer field [3]. Should you be asking a question that may have a longer answer it is advisable to use the Memo question Type.

When you have filled in the answer filed press the OK button [4] to update the Answer Cell [5].

Number Question Type

When you press on the empty Answer Cell an answer box will open with the Question [1] at the top and the On-screen keypad [2] at the bottom of the screen.

List Question Type

When you press on the empty Answer Cell a List will open with the Question [1] at the top. When you press on one of the List options [2]will automatically close the list and update the Answer Cell [3].

Yes/No Question Type

When you press on the empty Answer Cell it will fill it in with a Tick (Yes) [1], press the Answer cell a second time and it will change to a Cross (No) [2], press the Answer cell a third time and it will fill it with a grey Not Applicable icon and press the Answer cell a fourth time and it will be left Blank.

Date Question Type

When you press on the empty Answer Cell it will open a Calendar [1] for you to select the date to answer the question, press OK [2] to save the selected date and it will be updated in the Answer Cell [3].

Marked Question Type

When you press on the empty Answer Cell a List will open with a Copy of the question [1] at the top. When you press on one of the List options [2] will automatically close the list and update the Answer Cell [3].

Memo Question Type

When you press on the empty Answer Cell an answer box will open with the Question [1] at the top and the On-screen keyboard [2] at the bottom of the screen.

When you have filled in the Answer field [3] press the OK button [4] to update the Answer Cell [5].

Header & DCSG Header Question Types

Headers [1] are identified by the Italic text, when you press on the Answer Cell you will be given a Yes/No/Blank menu [2] to auto populate all the Yes/No questions below the Header.

When you select one of the Yes/No/Blank menu options the answer will be automatically entered into the Answer Cells for all the Yes/No questions [3]. If you wish to undo this action choose the Blank option.

NOTE Each of these Answer Cells can be manually changed by pressing on each one to change the answer.

Performing an Audit

Important:  Sync your Tablet before and after each audit to ensure you do not lose any of your work. 


Getting Started

In the Monitor App tap a Package [1] (e.g. Catering) and tap a Site [2] from the List, or use the Search bar to find a specific Site, then tap Monitor [3] from the popup menu.

In the Top Right Menu [4] you can view the Options for the selected Site, Open an Actions List to view and edit actions for the selected Site, Change the View of the Site list from Standards to Compact and Sync the Tablet.

Actions, Details, Photos & Notes

Tapping a Question [1] in the Left column opens the Question options pop-up where you can select one of the following options:

  1. Actions – add/edit actions for that question
  2. Details – see question details and criteria
  3. Photo - activate the camera to take and upload up to three photos
  4. Note - when no follow-up is required

When editing an Action, tap the Action [6] that needs to be edited and you can edit any of the Action Details. To add an Action, tap the Top Right Menu and tap Add [7].

In the Action Detail page fill in the Details fields [1], Close the Keyboard [2] and press the Back button [3] to save the Action.

In the Detail page you can see the Weighting [1] of the question, the different Answers available for the question and select a Different Answer [2] to replace the one that has already been selected.

At the bottom of the page you can use the Navigation Arrows to move to the Previous Question [3] or the Next Question, if it is the last question in the Group the Next Question button will not be available. Click the Back button [4] to save your changes.

Tap the Notes Window [5] to open the keyboard to enter your notes, when you have finished your notes close the Keyboard and tap OK [6] to save your note.

Signoff

When the Questionnaire is complete tap the Top Right menu to tap Signoff [1].

In the Sign off screen add at least one Name [2] and Signature [3] then tap the Signoff button [4]. The Audit/Questionnaire is now marked as Closed in the Sites screen.

NOTE You cannot change your answers after sign-off, but you can edit the action list.
