Admin - Adding Menu Item Sub-Types

In Menus a colour picker has been added to make a wider range of colours available for menu item sub-types. Existing Menu Item sub types with colours assigned will not change with this update. The colours applied to Menu Item sub-types are also displayed on the Whiteboard.

Adding Menu Item Sub-Types

  1. Navigate to Menus > Admin.
  2. Select Menu Item Sub Types [1].

  3. Click Add [2].

  4. Enter a Description [3], Menu Item-Sub Types descriptions have a limit of 30 characters.
  5. Assign a unique colour to the Menu Sub Type using the Colour Picker [4]. To view available colours, enable the Colour Checkbox. If a custom subtype is deleted, it will revert to the default colour
  6. To select a colour, drag the black circle within the Colour Range [5] or use the Colour Slider [6].
  7. For precise shades, enter a Hex Number [7], which will apply the selected color automatically.
  8. Click Select [8] to confirm your choice. Please note If a custom subtype is deleted it will use the default colour.
  9. Once you’ve finished configuring, click Save [9].
  10. Previous and newly created Sub-Types will now appear within the Sub-Type Column [10] within Admin > Menu Item Sub Types.

Applying a Menu Item Sub Type

  1. Navigate to Menus > Items.
  2. Open the Relevant Stock Item [1].
  3. Open the Details Tab [2] and select the Sub-Type [3] drop-down menu.
  4. Opening the Sub Type Dropdown will show all available Menu Item Sub-Types which can be assigned to the stock item.
