In Communication > Settings you can choose how to pick up contact information or who to send messages to. You can change whether you want to send messages to email addresses or mobile numbers sourced from your MIS upload or whether you want to send messages to unverified contact information. You can also change whether you want to only send messages to Priority 1 contacts, or whether messages should go to everyone associated with that child.
Email Settings

Please note if the information you are sending is sensitive or personal, please do not use this option.
MIS email contacts – By selecting Enabled this will use the email addresses from your MIS system, if you select Disabled you will be unable to use MIS sourced emails and only Primary payer sourced emails will pull through.

Subsidised text alerts
No subsidised alerts: the school are not subsidising any alerts for payers.
Subsidise all payers: the school are subsidising alerts for all payers.
Apply settings defined for each payer: the school can choose which payers to subsidise alerts for.
Send only to Priority 1 contacts – by ticking this box the school will only be able to communicate to Priority 1 contacts (default is ticked). This ensures that when sending communications to parents that only primary contact details are considered.
See How to determine the email/phone number used when communicating for further information regarding configuring and using contact priorities.
WARNING: Unticking this option will allow all contacts details to be used when determining the best email or phone number to use for a contact. However, this should be used with caution as if no priority one contact exists in your MIS, any of the other available contacts details could be selected as the preferred communiction method.
Please ensure you check the email or phone number being used for all sensitive or critical communications.
