Uploading pupil data to ParentPay from SIMS

Completing a pupil data import

  1. Open MIS Sync
  2. Log into MIS Sync using the same log in credentials for logging into the ParentPay site, and the organisation ID which can be found on the ParentPay website under Settings > Site data in the Company external id

  3. In MIS Sync, navigate to Pupils > Auto update

  4. This begins the pupil data extract from SIMS. The data will then be transferred to the ParentPay system.

Once the import completes, messages will be displayed advising whether it was successful.

Most upload messages will contain warnings. These usually indicate changes to Free School Meal entitlement, or changes to the imported mobile phone number.

If the upload fails, an error message will be displayed outlining the cause for the failure. Most errors will need to be corrected in SIMS, but some may require intervention from ParentPay support.
