The Welsh Government has made a commitment to provide free school meals to all primary school pupils. The youngest primary learners (Reception) will be receiving free schools meals in September 2022 and remaining primary learners (Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6) receiving free schools meals in 2023/4.
Cypad already has the functionality to support configuring free school meals by year group; this is called UIFSM (Universal Infant Free School Meals) throughout the Cypad system. However, the functionality will work in exactly the same way for UPFSM (Universal Primary Free School Meals)
