Schoolcomms does not encrypt emails before they are sent. However we utilise opportunistic encryption to protect the messages when they are dispatched. It is worth noting that full protection via this method is dependent on the receiving server supporting the same. This is very common but may not always be the case, especially with privately hosted email servers.
Schoolcomms takes data protection very seriously, we are fully GDPR compliant and are certified Cyber Essentials Plus compliant. We are also a certified PCI-DSS compliant which requires us to be subject to an annual audit by a third party Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) in order to ensure compliance.
