One of the first steps in setting up a ParentPay site is to complete a pupil upload. Once set up however, uploads need to be completed regularly to keep your Pupil, Staff, and other people records up to date. This is especially important when you change Free School Meal (FSM) eligibility for a pupil, or when you add or remove pupils and/or staff from SIMS.

Download and install MIS Sync

The following video will guide you through finding, downloading, and installing the MIS Sync application, and how to securely login to it for your school. This only needs completing when first setting up the MIS Sync application.

Setting up a connection

This video covers how you will link the MIS Sync application to your school's instance of SIMS. This only needs completing once as the link is maintained each time you use the application (the details are kept in an encrypted file for security). It assumes you have already completed the installation detailed above, and that you are logged into the application.

Uploading pupil data

This is the final step in the upload journey. You'll likely need to perform this task multiple times throughout the year to ensure your ParentPay system is up to date with any changes in SIMS. It only takes a few minutes so we encourage you to do this regularly, especially after changing your on-roll numbers or altering free school meal allocations.
