What has happened?
When promoting and marking pupils as leavers at the end of the year, there are specific process that must be adhered to on the Bromcom system to ensure the data is maintained correctly.
If you un-enroll pupils from your system it is likely to cause issues. Instead, you should use their 'How to process a student as a leaver' guidance to successfully mark them as leavers.
What should I do?
If you have unenrolled your leavers using a different guide you should reverse this and use the leaver guidance above. If you need assistance in completing this please contact the Bromcom service team who will be able to assist you.
Current guidance for leavers is found at https://docs.bromcom.com/knowledge-base/how-to-process-a-leaver-and-ctf-export/ but should this not work please search their help centre for how to process leavers.
Why do we get the error in ParentPay?
Because the pupils have been unenrolled they will not be allocated to year or registration groups but still be in the system, available to be exported to a partner system, such as ParentPay. By following the leavers process, the enrollment status remains for reporting purposes but an end date is entered.
This ensure these records are ignored by the export service.
